Rock Climbing In 6th Class!
Last week 6th class went rock climbing at Trinity College Sports Centre followed by a lovely picnic in Merrion Square.
Apart from being fun, rock climbing has been shown to boost confidence and improve cognitive function in children. Rock climbing is like one big puzzle! 
They had a brilliant time!
Autumn Art In 3rd Class!
3rd class enjoyed the outdoors during the week and went on an Autumn walk to collect leaves. They thought carefully about the shapes of leaves they wanted to collect and used them to create an Autumn themed picture. 🍂

Birthday Celebration Picnic!
We celebrated our school’s birthday last week with our annual school picnic. As is tradition, 6th class ran all the activities and did a fantastic job. All the classes enjoyed themselves and all the fun organised by 6th class.

Well-Being Buddies!
One of our wellbeing goals this year is to develop a more structured buddy system across the school. 2nd class and Junior Infants took their first buddy steps together this week.
2nd class prepared a PE lesson for Junior Infants, with 5 different stations.
Both classes did an amazing job and worked so well together.
Well done 2nd Class and Junior Infants!
Team Tasks in 5th & 6th Class!
5th and 6th class had great fun on Wednesday during Team Tasks. The task involved getting all their team members across the sea of jellyfish! Blindfolded!
There were lots of lessons learned about effective communication and of course lots of laughs too!
3rd Class Launch MSReadathon!
It’s that time of year again!
Our bookworms in 3rd Class are setting the scene for this year’s Multiple Sclerosis Ireland Readathon at the national print museum.

4th Class Have A Fun Fleeting Day!
Last Wednesday, 4th Class walked to the National Museum of Ireland and enjoyed a Viking tour. The class saw a real skeleton, learned about the Vikings’ lives and looked at the artefacts they left behind. It was interesting and engaging! A pit stop was made at Merrion Square Park Playground for some lunch and play, followed by a visit to the National Gallery of Ireland to take a sketching tour. The class learned about the elements of art and experimented with line, shading, tone and even the balance of movement in art. The class finished the day with some emergency ice creams to make sure they had enough energy to make it back to school.
All in all – a great day out with a great group of children!
Junior Sports Day!
The juniors had their sports day last week in @pembrokewanderers sports grounds. It always proves to be one of the best events of the school year.
There was an amazing amount of fun had by all!
