Eva May in 4th Class created a lovely poem about Colours.

 Colours!

Poppies are red,
Clouds are violet,
School uniform is blue.
Happiness is yellow,
Sadness is almost black,
Excitement is pink.
Colours are everywhere!

5th Class walk by the Dodder

5th Class went on walk last week along the Dodder looking at all the different features on the walk as they made their way to the mouth of the river.

Mr Gibney jumps out of a plane

Mr Gibney has raised €1000 for the LauraLynn Children’s Hospice and was finally able to complete his skydive on 8th August. Well done and congratulations Mr Gibney! You can watch his plane jump here.

Nailed It – Virtual Baking Classes bring out the Youngest Chefs

This week has been all about bringing in our inner Donal Skehan with students at John Scottus National School indulging in a bit of home baking.

 

Our little chefs have been very hard at work in the kitchen – to the delight of all moms and dads! Bonne appetit!

Have a Go – Sports Week at JSNS

Every year, JSNS has an annual sports day around this time of the year. This year, due to the unique nature of events we will have a Sports Week starting next week.

Our indefatigable PE teacher, Mr. Gibney has tasked us with a brand spanking new bevvy of health challenges to choose from.

Check out our new Virtual Sports Day 2020 challenge have a go at exercises such as football bowling, hurdle jumps and even the time-honoured classic of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Fun for the whole family, each activity is about a minute long. You’ve no excuse so get up and #haveago

4C Yellow Students tap into Inner Lens

Fourth Class Yellow students are capturing the charm of Mother Nature during the lockdown. Each student has found their inner lens and focussed on some of the more positive aspects of learning from home.
