Senior Infants Penguins!
Senior Infants spent last week learning all about penguins. They made their own penguins out of shapes they learned about in Maths. Lovely work Senior Infants!
Telling time in 1st Class!
1st Class Red has been learning all about time in Maths. They have been learning how to read and record various times by engaging in lots of fun and hands-on activities during our Maths stations. They have also been practicing how to read the times in hours as Gaeilge too!
Christmas has landed in JI!
Christmas has landed! The children in Junior Infants have been busy wrapping presents and creating Christmas trees and decorations
MS Readathon
Reading Month is over. To date €237,000 and counting has been raised by readers all over Ireland. As of last week, the participating children in John Scottus and their sponsors have contributed €1,052 to this. The MS Readathon will accept donations until the 23rd of December. Thank you all so much for taking on the challenge. Reading can be a great solace and distraction in turbulent times. Well done everybody!
Back at hockey for 5th and 6th Class!
6th Class – Animal eyes!
6th class was busy last week drawing animal eyes.
Each student chose an animal, zoomed in on the eye, examined it closely and drew it.

2nd Class Homes and Buildings!
Second class was working on the theme of homes and buildings last week. They were busy problem solving and engineering ways to make these beautiful houses stand on their own for their mini town!
Junior Infant Doctors!
Last week Junior Infants were at the Doctors Surgery in Aistear.
They were busy taking care of patients, check ups and x-rays – it’s a very busy place!
2nd Class STEM Conker Critters
